“As a general rule...people ask for advice only in order not to follow it; or if they do follow it, in order to have someone to blame for giving it.”
―Alexandre Dumas
My name is Sara Pruett, from the Eastern Washington area. My interest in sociology would have to do with the fact that I, in the future, want to work at a prison. This class has helped me so far understand mostly what I would be seeing on a day to day basis and how I could relate to the inmates life style, and also what I should expect with the community and surroundings I will be putting myself in which such job title.
For my picture I chose to do the book we’re reading in our class, because has been really helpful opening my eyes to things I did not think were as important, before I started this class. It also has some very good information that would help me if I chose to go into a DOC job after school.

I chose this quote for my blog because for one it is a very true quote and one I really like. It helps us think about the power of sociology and helps us understand how our world and our own lives work.
